Science Behind The Ingredients:
Aloe Vera is rich in vitamins C, E and beta carotene (a pre-cursor to vitamin A).
It contains substances known as glycoproteins and polysaccharides. Glycoproteins speed the healing process by stopping pain and inflammation while polysaccharides stimulate skin growth and repair. It contains almost 20 amino acids, minerals like calcium, magnesium and sodium in sufficient quantities, enzymes, vitamins, polysaccharides, nitrogen and other components that make it a miracle beauty herb; improves the skin's ability to hydrate itself; refreshing, healing agent, humectant and emollient, softens skin, and soothing.
Hyaluronic Acid - Most powerful moisturizer & humectant known so far, increases water retention capacity, excellent anti-wrinkle effects. Hyaluronic acid also protects the epidermis by scavenging reactive oxygen species generated by ultra violet light which would normally cause sunspots. Its ability to retain water gives immediate smoothness to rough skin surfaces and significantly improves skin appearance.
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) Hydrator and Wound Healing
Vitamin B5 has natural broad abilities to moisturize, soothe, heal and regenerate the skin. It stabilizes the skin barrier function, reducing the amount of water lost through the skin. By applying a B5 formulation to the skin, you will not only increase its hydration but improve its softness and elasticity, and is ideal for the treatment of redness, dry, scaly, itchy, or rough skin.
Additionally, a 2002 "Journal of Dermatological Treatment" study noted that Vitamin B5 enhanced the repair of the skin barrier while reducing inflammation. It’s effectiveness in hydrating, soothing, healing and protecting skin makes it an effective ingredient for: acne, bed sores, minor cuts, diaper rash, contact dermatitis (produced when the skin comes in contact with irritants or allergens), eczema, insect bites, scrapes and sunburn.
Preliminary research suggests that vitamin B5 has moisturizing effects on the skin and may speed wound healing, especially following surgery.Rosewater helps maintain the skin's pH balance, and also controls excess oil. It has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of irritated skin, get rid of acne, dermatitis and eczema. It is a great cleanser and aids in removing oil and dirt accumulated in clogged pores", says Dr. Deepali Bhardwaj, Skincare Expert. Rose water helps hydrate, revitalize and moisturize the skin giving it with that refreshed look. Due to its antibacterial properties, rose water also aids in healing scars, cuts and wounds. The antioxidant properties of rose water help to strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissues. Due to the astringent like properties it possesses, rose water helps clean pores and tone the skin. Applying rose water after steaming tightens capillaries, reduces redness and blotchiness.
