Science Behind the Formula:
Glycerin is a humectant; a substance that
attracts moisture to the skin leaving your skin hydrated. The hydrating effect of glycerin makes it
ideal as a topical remedy for burns.
Carrot Seed is rich in Vitamins A and E. It can be used is an antiseptic to cure infections and open wounds as well as an antioxidant that repairs the damage done to your skin from free radicals (oxidation).
Cucumber Seed Oil has a light consistency that absorbs fast, leaving your skin smooth, silky and fresh. It has anti- aging properties that reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It has a comedogenic rating of 1, which means it’s very unlikely to cause breakouts in acne prone skin and also reduces acne inflammation and redness.
Its anti-inflammatory properties help to soothe sunburn and also can stimulate skin cells to encourage healthy skin cell regeneration.
Coconut Oil is a naturally occurring antibacterial, antifungal, and moisturizer which allows for a healthier complexion. The antibacterial agent lauric acid contained in coconut oil protects the skin from potential pathogens and can reduce the risk of bacterial infections worsening acne.
As a moisturizer, coconut oil absorbs quickly, which leaves silky smooth skin.
Aloe Vera is approved by the FDA for first and second-degree burns - shown to support the healing of sunburned skin and other burns.
It is 99 percent water and is rich in vitamins C and E and beta carotene (a pre-cursor to vitamin A).
Its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties are enhanced when massaged into the skin because its antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties will protect the skin from bacteria and other pathogens which lead to infection and inflammation. In addition, Aloe Vera contains substances known as glycoproteins and polysaccharides. Glycoproteins speed the healing process by stopping pain and inflammation while polysaccharides stimulate skin growth and repair.
