This Natural Sunblock has a SPF of 30 is also a Bug Repellent. The Zinc Oxide used in this product is non-nano, the safest, most effective
sunblock ingredient. It also protect you from UVA, UVB, and UVC rays which are the most
dangerous since they penetrate the skin and damage tissue, speeding up the
aging process and drying out of the skin. These rays also increase the
risk of skin cancer.
In addition, the Shea Butter forms a barrier that bugs cannot penetrate while the infused scent of Peppermint, Tea Tree and Rosemary essentials oils protect
you from getting bitten.
Ingredients: Proprietary blend of Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Non
Nano Zinc Oxide, Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower Oil), d-alpha-tocopherol
(non GMO Vitamin E), Peppermint, Tea Tree, and Rosemary Essential Oils.
Directions: Sunscreens should be applied 30 minutes
before sun exposure to allow the ingredients to fully bind to the skin.
Reapplication of sunblock is just as important as putting it on in the first
place, so reapply the same amount every hour; more often if you are sweating excessively or after you get done swimming.

Why SPF 30?
SPF 30 blocks nearly 97 percent UVB radiation.
SPF measures protection from UVB rays, the kind that cause
sunburn and contribute to skin cancer. Dermatologists recommend using a
SPF15 or SPF30 sunscreen. Higher SPFs don't give much more protection.
Remarlé® Sun Block contains Non-Nano
Zinc Oxide, the safest, most effective sunblock ingredient
What does non-nano mean in a zinc
A nano particle will enter the blood
stream but a non-nano will not. For that reason, non-nano is safer. Nano comes
from the Greek word “nanos” and means “Dwarf.” 1 nanometre = one
billionth of a metre, meaning a nanoparticle is a particle smaller than 100
nanometers. Therefore a non-nano particle is larger than 100nm.
What is zinc oxide?
Zinc is a powered mineral that sits
on top of the skin. It can stand alone as a sunblock because it is truly
effective against UVA, UVB and even UVC rays.
According to Dr. Marilynn Syrett, zinc oxide is one
of the safest ingredients for protecting the skin from the harmful effects of
ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays penetrate the skin and damage tissue, speeding
up the aging process and drying the skin out. These rays also increase the risk
of skin cancer. Sunscreens containing zinc oxide filter out UV rays, keeping
them from penetrating the skin and causing cell damage.
Zinc oxide is also effective for healing the skin.
It can be used to heal wounds, reduce the tenderness associated with sunburns
and soften chapped skin. Jonathan Moore, DPM, notes that people who are zinc
deficient typically experience slower wound-healing times. When zinc oxide is
applied to the wound area, it provides the body with the extra zinc it needs to
repair skin cells. Zinc oxide helps keep the wound area moist and clean.
