SunBlock for the Face and Body SPF 30 Non- Nano Zinc Oxide - Safe for Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea.

$14.99

What is it?

This SPF 30 sunblock is a non irritating emollient crème that has been combined with Non- Nano Zinc Oxide for face and body protection from the sun. Can also be used on the lips.

The Zinc Oxide used in this product is non-nano, the safest, most effective sunblock ingredient. It also protect you from UVA, UVB, and UVC rays which are the most dangerous since they penetrate the skin and damage tissue, speeding up the aging process and drying out of the skin.  These rays also increase the risk of skin cancer.

Recommended for Use on Eczema, Rosacea, and Psoriasis

Safe for Sensitive Skin

Available in 5 oz pump

Proprietary Formula by Remarle ® LLC

Ingredients: Proprietary blend of Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Non Nano Zinc Oxide, Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower Oil), Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

Directions: Sunscreens should be applied 30 minutes before sun exposure to allow the ingredients to fully bind to the skin. Reapplication of sunscreen is just as important as putting it on in the first place, so reapply the same amount every two hours.

Reapply sunscreen approximately every two hours, or after swimming or sweating.

This can be put on under makeup.

Why SPF 30?

SPF 30 blocks nearly 97 percent UVB radiation.

SPF measures protection from UVB rays, the kind that cause sunburn and contribute to skin cancer.  Dermatologists recommend using a SPF15 or SPF30 sunscreen. Higher SPFs don't give much more protection.

Remarlé® Sun Block contains Non-Nano Zinc Oxide, the safest, most effective sunblock ingredient

What does non-nano mean in a zinc sunblock?

A nano particle will enter the blood stream but a non-nano will not. For that reason, non-nano is safer. Nano comes from the Greek word “nanos” and means “Dwarf.”  1 nanometre = one billionth of a metre, meaning a nanoparticle is a particle smaller than 100 nanometers. Therefore a non-nano particle is larger than 100nm.

What is zinc oxide?

Zinc is a powered mineral that sits on top of the skin. It can stand alone as a sunblock because it is truly effective against UVA, UVB and even UVC rays.

UV Protection

According to Dr. Marilynn Syrett, zinc oxide is one of the safest ingredients for protecting the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) rays. UV rays penetrate the skin and damage tissue, speeding up the aging process and drying the skin out. These rays also increase the risk of skin cancer. Sunscreens containing zinc oxide filter out UV rays, keeping them from penetrating the skin and causing cell damage.

Skin Healing

Zinc oxide is also effective for healing the skin. It can be used to heal wounds, reduce the tenderness associated with sunburns and soften chapped skin. Jonathan Moore, DPM, notes that people who are zinc deficient typically experience slower wound-healing times. When zinc oxide is applied to the wound area, it provides the body with the extra zinc it needs to repair skin cells. Zinc oxide helps keep the wound area moist and clean.

Why do I need to moisturize my skin? The skin needs moisture to repair and renew itself. While the skin produces it own oil through the sebaceous glands, sometimes extra moisture is needed. As we get older our skin does not produce enough oil and becomes very dry, add in menopause and all of a sudden the wrinkles, lines and visible signs are aging are prevalent. The Skin needs to be hydrated either internally or topically to be soft, supple and smooth. Moisturizers have been found to help restore the skin barrier providing a protective layer on surface of the skin to trap water and prevent the penetration of irritants and allergens. An emollient cream is superior in trapping the moisture within the skin. There are five randomized controlled trials showing benefit to emollient use in atopic eczema.  Remarlé ® Skin Smoothing Shea Butter Crème is an emollient and has been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance.

Hooray for Shea!Shea butter is extracted from the nut of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) in West Africa. High levels of natural anti-oxidants (A and E) and essential fatty acids (from stearic acid and oleic acid) found within the nut's buttery contents have proven extremely effective for moisturizing and repairing damaged skin. Shea Butter works because it is able to penetrate the epidermis and provide a protective layer which traps water and keep the skin hydrated and protected from allergens.Shea butter's healing qualities include: Relieving Dry skin caused by Eczema, Psoriasis, and Dandruff   · Soothing Sun Burn  · Reducing the appearance of stretch marks, scars and fine lines.

Shea Butter also has Antimicrobial (used against bacteria and antifungals) and Anti-inflammatory properties.
